Summary
This article will teach you how to use the Drag and Drop feature to make quicker date or time adjustments on your calendar.
These steps can only be used on the following views:
Important
When using the drag and drop feature to reschedule appointments in ZenMaid, most details (such as work items, dates, times, including any manually edited times, prices, and appointment status) will carry over to the new date. However, one-time Appointment Notes will not transfer, so be sure to re-add them manually if needed.
Also, keep in mind that dragging and dropping an appointment may unintentionally restore a previously deleted appointment within the same series. This happens because ZenMaid copies most appointment details when you reschedule, including the recurring pattern.
Date Adjustment
On your preferred scheduling view, move your mouse pointer over an appointment.
Press and hold the mouse button, then drag the appointment to a new date on your calendar. The appointment’s duration will stay the same unless you adjust it in the confirmation window.
Let go of the mouse button to place the appointment in a new spot on your calendar.
A confirmation window will appear, allowing you to review and confirm the changes before applying them.
In the Reschedule appointment to... window, make sure to enter the new date in the Reschedule Date* field and adjust the time if needed.
Confirm whether you want ZenMaid to automatically recalculate the amount owed by checking or unchecking the box.
Click Save to apply the changes, or Cancel to exit without making any updates.
Time Adjustment
To adjust the time using the Drag and Drop feature, move your mouse to the bottom edge of the appointment until the cursor changes to a vertical resize arrow. This indicates you can adjust the appointment's duration.
Press and hold the mouse button, then drag up or down to shorten or extend the time.
Release the mouse button when you're done.
A confirmation window will appear, allowing you to review and confirm the changes before applying them.
In the Reschedule appointment to... window, make sure to enter the new time in the From* and To* fields and adjust the time if needed.
Confirm whether you want ZenMaid to automatically recalculate the amount owed by checking or unchecking the box.
Click Save to apply the changes, or Cancel to exit without making any updates.
Date/Time Adjustments to All Future Appointments
Start by locating a recurring appointment on your calendar. These are marked with a small circular arrow icon (🔁).
From there, you can move the appointment to a new date or time by clicking and dragging it. When prompted, choose to apply the changes to all future appointments in the series.
Additional Information
When the "Reschedule appointment to..." window appears, check or uncheck the box labeled "Automatically recalculate amount owed for this appointment?" depending on your preference.
If you adjust the appointment’s date but leave the 'Automatically recalculate amount owed' box unchecked, the price will stay the same, even if the appointment is now longer or shorter. If you want ZenMaid to update the price based on the new time, make sure to check the box.
