Summary

  • If data is accidentally deleted, there are a few steps to recover some, if not all, the data. The ZenMaid team can try to assist you in searching for bits of information so that you can recreate a deleted client profile, a cleaner profile, or an appointment. You will need to provide us as much data as you have (name, email, phone, address, last clean, notes, cleaner, etc.). Here are a few steps that you can take to search for data as well.

Recovering Client and Appointment Data

  • Search to see if the customer came in through a booking form for their information.

  • Search for Work Order emails/texts for any customer information or notes by using Today's Emails & Texts if you know who the cleaner was. Appointment Reminder, Appointment Confirmation, or Appointment Follow-up emails/texts can provide more information regarding the customer and appointment, too.

  • If the customer paid by credit card, you can search for the total amount of charges in their credit card processor. Same with PayPal, Venmo, or any other digital payment systems. You can search checks with your bank. With some financial data, you can recreate one appointment with the total revenue that was acquired before deletion. Be mindful of taxes and tips when going this route.

  • Check previous appointment series for data or notes (Appointment data deletion).

  • Check the notifications bell at the top of the screen. You can screen search using Command+F or Control+F. You may need to scroll through a few pages. This will help you retrieve dates for appointments.

Recovering Cleaner Data

  • Search for Work Order emails/texts for any scheduled appointment information by using Today's Emails & Texts if you know who the customers/appointments were.

  • Check past payrolls for their schedule and pay rates.

  • Check the notifications bell at the top of the screen. You can screen search using Command+F or Control+F. You may need to scroll through a few pages. This will help you retrieve clocked times for appointments.

Note

  • The ZenMaid team does not have a button or a feature to recover data automatically, which is why there are several warning messages that pop up when attempting to delete any data. Since data is recovered from bits of information related to appointments and client communications, we encourage you to use as many of the features ZenMaid offers as possible, such as all email and text templates, notifications, the mobile app, and the booking form.
