Summary
This article covers how to connect ZenMaid to Zapier and create a filter that responds to appointment status updates, such as when a status changes to Active or Canceled.

If you do not have a Zapier account yet, simply sign up for a Zapier account here:
Creating the Trigger
Go to your Zapier dashboard, click Create from the left-hand menu, and then Zaps.
Under the Trigger section, type ZenMaid in the App Event field and select the option that appears.
Click Choose an event, type status, and select Appointment Status Updated.
Select your ZenMaid account from the drop-down and click Continue.
Click Test Trigger to run a test.
Review the test results. Scroll down in the text box to find a status change example. The status field is labeled state. The example will show the previous and updated status values.
Click the Continue with selected record.
Side Note
In the test results, "state" refers to the appointment status field. For instance, a previous status of Stand-By and a new status of Active confirm that the trigger is working correctly.
Creating the Filter
In the Action step, select Filter.
Under Only continue if, click Choose field, type state in the search box, and select Status Name (after the update).
Click Choose condition and select (Text) Contains.
Click the value field and type Active.
Click Continue to test the filter.
A green box saying Your Zap would have continued confirms the filter is working.
Side Note
To stop a zap when an appointment is canceled, replace Active with Canceled in the value field. A yellow box saying Your Zap would not have continued confirms the filter is blocking that status correctly.
