Maid Service Expert: Steve Hanson founder of The Janitorial Store and My House Cleaning Biz

In 2002 Steve started Brainerd Lakes Cleaning and Supply, a commercial cleaning business, and a janitorial supply house. Both companies were started with Steve as the solo cleaner and build into successful cleaning companies that were sold to their competitors.

Steve and his wife Jean launched TheJanitorialStore.com in 2005. The site continues to grow, with members in all 50 states and over 30 countries around the world. MyHouseCleaningBiz.com was launched in 2009. This website is exclusively for residential cleaning company owners. The sites help commercial and residential cleaning business owners Start, Grow and Scale their cleaning companies.

In 2011, Steve became an “ISSA Certification Expert” (I.C.E.) as it relates to the association’s Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) and Certification Program. In 2016, Steve became a “Certified Professional Trainer” (C.P.T.) by successfully completing Cleaning Management Institute’s Train the Trainer Certification Course and is a trainer for CMI’s Custodial Technician Certification Program and CMI Verified Training Program’s.
