Facebook's new services directory you should be on ASAP
If you’ve spoken with me personally you may be aware of my pure hatred for Yelp. I consider them a necessary evil for maid services like yours (you should definitely have a Yelp listing and try to get as many 5 star ratings as possible).
It’s rather unfortunate that a company of their caliber has such a well documented history of extortion.
And that frustration with Yelp, and how they treat small business owners like us, is why I’m personally very excited about what’s happening right now for you and all of our ZenMaid customers.
(Little side note: We now have well over 100 maid services using us around the United States and Canada and will be launching internationally soon!)
See, Facebook recently launched their version of Google Places, a local services review site called Facebook Services
Facebook Services is essentially a Yelp or Google Places competitor where your potential customers can search for local small businesses in their locale. Like Yelp and Google Places those searching on Facebook will get to review local business pages and see reviews from actual people. And unlike Yelp it’ll be easy to verify which are real and which are fake.
What does this mean for you?
First, if you don’t have a business page for your maid service on Facebook you’ll want to go do that right now (click here to Create your Business Listing on Facebook)
If you do already have a Facebook page for your maid service you’ll need to start getting reviews on there to get ahead of your competition. You can do this by reaching out to your current customers and linking them to your Facebook page asking for a rating.
We also recommend reaching out to your customers soon after appointments to get feedback, referrals, and reviews. If you don’t have a process in place for that check out our maid service software. We help companies like your to do exactly this, among many other things.
Finally, if you’re interested in discussing more ways to improve your cleaning business, we’d love to have you join the ZenMaid Mastermind, a private group we have on Facebook that will help you and your business, regardless of if you’re a customer.
Now get out there and start dominating Facebook for new cleaning customers today!
