Creating the Trigger

  1. On the Zapier dashboard, bring up the left-hand side menu and click 'Make a zap'

  2. Under the Trigger section, type in 'ZenMaid' in the App Event text field. Suggested apps will appear as you type, choose the latest version of ZenMaid.

  3. Under the Trigger Event, click 'choose an event' and type in 'status.' This will bring up suggested events. Select 'Appointment Status Updated.'

  4. Click 'Continue.'

  5. You will be asked to choose your ZenMaid account. Select the correct account from the drop-down.

  6. Click 'Continue.'

  7. When Test Trigger appears, click 'Test trigger.'

  8. Once the trigger is tested, it should show something similar to this.

In the text box, you can find an example of a status change by scrolling down. Status is labeled as 'state.' In this example, the previous status was 'Stand-By' and the new status is 'Active.'

  9. Click the '+' to proceed to the Action section to create the filter.

Creating the Filter

  1. Once you have created the trigger and loaded the Action step, select 'Filter.'

  2. Under Filter setup & testing, Only continue if..., click 'Choose field.' Type 'state' in the search box and select 'Status Name (after the update)' from the suggestions.

  3. For the 'Choose condition' text box, click it and choose '(Text) Contains.'

  4. For the 'Enter or select value...' click it and type in 'Active.'

  5. Click 'Continue' to proceed to test and make sure it works.

  6. The zap works if you see a green box saying 'Your Zap would have continued.'

  7. If you don't want a zap to continue if an appointment was canceled, type in 'Canceled' in the text box for 'Enter or select value' (where 'Active' is)

You will see a grey box saying 'You Zap would not have continued.'
