Sumarry

  • This article explains how to correct the price of an appointment that has already been marked as paid using cash, check, or PayPal. It covers how to temporarily unlock the financials, make the adjustment, and re-mark the appointment as paid.

Important

  • Marking an appointment as unpaid will not trigger a refund. This step only unlocks the financials so you can correct the amount.

  • If the appointment was paid by credit card, you cannot edit the financials directly on the appointment. Refer to the article on how to manage paid-by-card appointments instead.

  • If the appointment was paid by card, the Mark as Unpaid option will not be available.

Accessing The Appointment

  • From your ZenMaid Dashboard, open any schedule view (Calendar View, List View, Dispatch View, etc.)

  • Find the appointment you need to update and click on it.

  • In the panel that opens on the right side of the screen, find the Info section.

  • Review the financial information shown there

Unmarking the Payment

  • Click Billing actions on the Billing section of the appointment.

  • Mark the appointment as unpaid.

  • Update the price.

  • Click Mark as Paid again once the correction is done

Handling Missed Charges

  • If you already ran a card and forgot to charge for an additional service, create a second appointment for the difference

  • Set the price of the new appointment to the amount owed and charge it separately.

Side Note

  • For example, if the original appointment was $150 and you forgot to charge $25 for a refrigerator clean, create a new appointment at $25 for that service only.
